In the image, it shows a funeral ceremony. In the image, there is a woman in the back who is wearing red pants, which is a very inappropriate color to wear to the funeral. Also, it looks like the girl with a black dress is using a phone or probably taking pictures and a man with a black shirt on is standing back to the dead body, which is very disrespectful. This shows that people are not really concerned about the funeral or the dead person, they came for something else. This image reminds me of the story of A Rose for Emily, in which people of the town went to her funeral but not because of her, they went there to see her house. Emily used to live with her father after her father died she became very sad and would come out of her house very little. Then she met Homer to whom she wanted to get married to but she found out that he likes men. She did not come out of her for a long time but when she came her hair was gray and she looked very old and people of the town start complaining about the smell that was coming from her house but they did not say anything to her. “When Miss Emily Grierson died, our whole town went to her funeral: the men through a sort of respectful affection for a fallen monument, the women mostly out of curiosity to see the inside of her house”. It shows that they only went to see what inside of her house and why was it smelly

is holding the horse like he does not want to get off from it. This relates to the story, “The Rocking-Horse Winner”, in which a boy, Paul ride on the rocking horse to know the winner in the horse race. Paul always hears that his house is whispering, “There must be more money”. This made him curious and he asked his mother why we poor and his mother said his father his unlucky. But he told his mother that is not like his father, he is lucky, but his mother laughed at him and ignored him. To prove his mother that he is lucky he stated betting about the winner in the horse race and it was always right. He gets to know the name of the winner while riding on the rocking horse just as the image shows. Through this he started making a lot of money and was, becoming wealth day by day. But as in the image, it shows that the child does the same like he is happy, I think that Paul was also not happy doing this because it probably was very painful that he died at the end while doing it.
3rd Image
In this image, it shows that the child is on the floor, most likely he/she was abandoned by his parent. This relates to Cholly’s traumatic experience from The Bluest Eye. Cholly was also abandoned by his mother and as shown in the image. The child in the images looks like 2 to 4 days old, Cholly was also exact four days old when his mother left him on a trash heap. He was raised by his aunt, Jimmy, who took care of him like a mother and his father left before he was born. But there was still a lack of a father’s love in Cholly’s life that affected his life as a father. When Cholly had his own children, he did not know how to raise them because he himself did not ex[perience father’s love.
4th Image
In this image, it shows that a man is lying on the street unconscious just like Katagiri in “Super Frog Saves Tokyo”. When he was convinced to fight the worm with the frog and saves Tokyo from the earthquake. But that same day he was shot in his shoulder and when he woke up, he was in the hospital. He asked the nurse how is the wound doing, but the nurse said what wound and he said did I got shot and the nurse respond no, you were lying on the street unconscious. This probably shows that Katagiri was dreaming and all that happened was in his dreams.
